Richmond SOL is all about community

Since the club’s inception in 2003, Richmond SOL has had a long and respected history of service in Richmond, California. Below are just a few of the highlights.

Community Service

As we get ready for our Fall 2025 season, our club will once again host a community clean-up at MLK Park. This field is the only public turf facility available to our Richmond youth, and each year it accumulates trash, paraphernalia, and other debris that make it unsafe for players and families.

Our clean-ups are more than just maintenance—they’re an opportunity to teach our kids and community the importance of caring for the spaces we all rely on. By working together, we help create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment for every athlete who steps onto the field.

We appreciate everyone who helps us protect and maintain this vital resource for our youth.

Thanksgiving Food & Clothes Drive

18th Annual Food & Clothes Drive

This year we proudly hosted our 18th Annual Food & Clothes Drive, a tradition that continues to bring our community together in a powerful way. With the help of dedicated volunteers, supportive families, and several local business partners, we were able to provide hot meals, bags of groceries, and essential clothing to over 250 families in need ahead of Thanksgiving.

What started years ago as a small gesture of support has grown into one of our most meaningful annual initiatives. Beyond meeting immediate needs, this drive reinforces the values we work hard to instill in our youth—compassion, service, and community responsibility. Our players and families work side by side to prepare items, organize donations, and serve those who need it most.

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed their time, resources, and generosity. Thanks to you, hundreds of families received warmth, nourishment, and support during the holiday season.

Together, we continue to show what it truly means to uplift our community.18th Annual Food & Clothes Drive
